As a Filmmaker, I have produced, directed, and edited films and promotional materials for Gil Jimenez Broadcast Design, Anaheim Band Instruments, The International Natural Bodybuilding Association, and The National Football Foundation. Some Sample work follows, along with a more technical explanation of the project and methods used to create the product.

This is an introductory sequence for the International Natural Bodybuilding Association. This 8 hour event was shot live with 3 cameras and edited using multiclip mode in Apple Final Cut Pro. As this was a live competition, I was responsible for coordinating our taping with the lead judge, the promoter and MC of the event, and a BBC film crew flown in to document some of the older (75+ years old) entrants.

The sequence was done in Final Cut Pro and Livetype. The flying video inserts are keyframed in, and are actually a set of nested FCP sequences with competition highlights of the men and women running throughout the duration of the intro clip. The graphics were put into another nested sequence to fade the logos every few seconds.

This is a clip from a promotional video I created for the National Football Foundation's Riverside Chapter. Production constraints dictated that we only had about 10 minutes to interview the on-camera talent, which included an NFL Quarterback and a commentator for FOX Sports West. As such, I was responsible for making sure we got the shot right the first time. By coordinating specific schedules and communicating with my clients about their scheduling needs, I am able to get the "shots" needed to make the production a success without disrupting the flow of the event or the schedules of the guests.

The National Football Foundation clip was created with shots from events at football games of NFF member schools. The scene at the table with books came from the NFF National Office on DVD, which I ripped using MPEG Streamclip to a standard DV file. The video was timed with the catches, etc. landing on beats by marking the audio file and using FCP's snapping to sync the corresponding markers inside the individual clips.
